SecurityStack charges per assessment, not per month. You pay once for the assessment, keep access to its outputs, and rerun whenever your stack meaningfully changes. A comparable consulting engagement runs $50K–$150K and takes 6–12 weeks; SecurityStack covers roughly 80% of that work in 30–60 minutes, at about 1% of the cost.

Who each tier is for

Free ($0)

Security leaders evaluating the methodology against a subset of their stack. Consultants and internal-audit teams kicking the tires before bringing it to a client engagement. Small organizations (under 20 tools) that want a permanent record of their coverage but don't need exports.

Essentials ($499)

Mid-market CISOs running an annual assessment. MSPs delivering rationalization findings to their clients. Any organization that needs a PDF executive report or a PPTX board deck. This is the standard tier — roughly 80% of paid customers land here.

Expert ($2,499)

CISOs facing a contentious vendor decision, a new-procurement cycle, or a board conversation where outside validation matters. Procurement leaders who want a pressure test before signing a multi-year contract. The consultation adds judgment that the software alone can't provide.

What you're paying for

SecurityStack's value isn't the software; the software is the delivery mechanism. You're paying for the vendor database — 27 years of field judgment encoded as capability mappings — and the methodology that turns that database into recommendations specific to your stack. Competitors can copy the framework in 90 days. They cannot copy the data.
